Habits are not easy to build, otherwise, everyone would have cultivated them easily, and even when you try your best doing them continuously, chances are you will miss some of them if not all of them, as result one needs to know how to tackle this issue by reviewing your habits on monthly basis and note down why you have failed to tick off a habit and what you should do about it, as for me personally, I have learned three valuable lessons from the February month!

Perioritize your habits and put them on your calendar

I noticed that I used work as an excuse for not being able to complete my daily habits, yes you might lack energy but the reason you lack the energy it’s because you don’t prioritize your habits and you kind of lose the connection you had once you started doing the habits you are doing. So to battle this issue, I had to add a new element to my habit system, which is habits should be scheduled, I mean I had to put them in the schedule in order to not have to decide when I should do the habit and just jump to it whenever its time comes.

Tackle only one habit at each time

I have so many habits to do on daily basis, at least 1 hour and 40 minutes is needed to finish them all. and to the mind, it can be exhausting and too much to bear, so instead of focusing on the habits as a group of elements, you need to treat each habit as if it was standalone so that you negate the effect of having a huge mountain of work, it’s just a psychological trick that could work for you.

Strenghten your “WHY” of doing habits

You should be able to emotionally reconnect and strengthen the why behind doing your habits, it’s easy to start doing any habit and forget why are you doing it in the first place. So for March, I added a habit called reading habits statements by giving myself 5 minutes each day to go through them for the goal to feel connected to them.

Conclusion

As we come to close the article, I hope you find what I shared with you to be insightful and relatable, or at least you became aware of how important it is that you learn from your mistakes to excel at the game of building habits.

If you have any lessons you learned from doing your habits, feel free to share them below!
