First time I published the upgraded memory learning project was in 2023, a year later, and still I didn’t make much progress.
or let me say I reset the deadlines of the learning project (from where the point I arrived to) so many times over.
EVERY single time I end up giving after few days to weeks of trying.
And again and again I kept reseting the deadlines, sounds a bit chaotic?
It’s certainly didn’t work.
I needed a solution, I thought it’s time to seek a coaching session.
So I had one session with Lisa Pircher-Reid (You should follow her on Instagram and threads)
It was an insightful 90 minutes long call during which I had these realizations:
1 → I have a deeply rooted fear of tackling quizzes and problems, if I feel my efforts aren’t paying off I might just give up
2 → Perfectionism, when I start drifting off the learning plan, I just feel the tendency to rest the deadlines the project.
3 → Lack of patience in certain contexts: this reason is the byproduct of fear
4 → My long term planning skills should be refined
Here are the solution for each problem to stick with the upgraded memory LP (learning project):
Problem 1 & 3 → spending some time solving riddles, just to train my mind to stay longer with problems, and for that I am picking the book The Price of Cake: And 99 Other Classic Mathematical Riddles. Besides, I bought a 3 months subscription in https://memoryleague.com so that I stay motivated and take my practice seriously.
problem 2 → How to Be an Imperfectionist: The New Way to Self-Acceptance, Fearless Living, and Freedom from Perfectionism, since this book is coming from Stephen guise, the author of mini habits ( a great book for building habits) and has so many practical steps, I think it’s worth giving a try.
problem 4 → Reviewing the methodology of learning project i.e reviewing rapid learning course.
Now let’s jump into the 49 weeks plans which is split into two big parts.
