365-Day Challenges: January 2025 Monthly Recap

The month of 2025 was interesting because I had to go through 3 challenges:

1 → Reading 100 Books Summaries Challenge

2 → Doing the WHM Pushups without breathing

3 → Doing 6 Pomodoros a day

Let’s check the results of each challenge so far.

100 Books Summaries Challenge

Here is the graph of my read minutes of the book summaries of each day of January 2025

From the chart, you can see that I have completed the challenge 29 times successfully, only missing two days.

The longest reading session was 89 minutes, during which I was completely absorbed in reading the summary of I Respectfully Disagree by Justin Jones-Fosu.

If I don’t miss any more days for the rest of the challenge, my success rate would be 99.4% ( 363/365 = 0.994).

I’m still on track!

let’s move on to the next challenge!

Doing the WHM Pushups without breathing

I started the challenge strong by hitting 15 push-ups without breathing, and as the days passed, my results kept improving until they peaked at 24 push-ups on the 18th of January. This was followed by a drop in performance before I reached 24 push-ups again on the 27th day.

As I stated in the blog post The 3 × 365-Day Challenges of 2025, one of the two goals for successfully completing this challenge is to hit 100 push-ups in a single round. So far, I have achieved 24% of that goal. With 11 months still ahead, I am confident that I can reach it.

As for the second goal is reaching 90%, so far I only missed 4 days, so I need miss 33 days to fail the challenge.

Saying all of that, I am glad that completing the challenge successfully, is still within my reach.

Doing 6 pomodoros a day

For the first three days, I completed seven Pomodoro sessions each day, followed by six days of six sessions per day.

Then came my first day of failing to complete at least six sessions, which happened again by day 28.

My best performance was eight sessions on day 18 of the month.

Overall, I completed 191 Pomodoro sessions, which is a 14% decrease in performance compared to the same month last year.

On the bright side, I have only missed two days so far, and I would need to miss 35 more before failing the Pomodoro challenge.

Hint: I’m not planning to do that.

The goal is to finish the year with three successful challenges!
